Your Kootenay adventure tours start in British Columbia Canada. We have some fine accommodation and camping facilities. Enjoy our extraordinary trophy fishing; swim in crystal clear lakes, or try your hand at mountaineering and world class golf courses. In the winter take part in some of the best downhill and cross country skiing or snowmobiling. West Kootenay is bordered by the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges featuring scenic valleys, glacier-fed lakes, hot springs and vibrant communities. Visitors to the Kootenays may see white-tailed deer, and the magnificent fishing eagle, the osprey. The lucky ones will spot one of the many elk that inhabit the region, or even a moose, bear or mountain goat. Visitors to the eastern shore of the Arrow Lakes are almost sure to catch a glimpse of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep on the cliffs along the road.

TAKE PART IN THE ABUNDANT RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES.

Hiking and mountain biking opportunities abound, ranging from gentle strolls or rides along abandoned rail beds to rugged excursions into wilderness areas like Valhalla or Kokanee Glacier Provincial Parks. The Kootenays offer opportunities for fishing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, and mountain climbing. We are a golfing paradise with 19 courses to choose from. Winter visitors will revel in the skiing at Red Mountain and White water Ski Resorts, and other smaller mountains in the area.
